minutes from one of the finest examples of Romanesque art in Navarre (Estella-Lizarra)
and at the crossroads to the cities of Pamplona, San Sebastian and Logroño,
Aritzaleku is synonymous with service for all those that enjoy coming into
direct contact with the great outdoors.
Fully equipped pitches, reception, first aid, toilets, showers,
supermarket, bar, restaurant, games room…
Water sports and all activities
directly related to nature complete the wide range of possibilities made
available.
Do not hesitate to get in touch with us for more information. We look
forward to hearing from you.
Estella: a unique land
The Sierras of Andía
and Urbasa (home to the magnificent source of the River Urederra) mark the
mountainous northern limit to Navarre´s mid region and border on the
village of Riezu, source of the River Ugabua, whose waters feed the Alloz
reservoir. A route packed full of outstanding landscapes.
From Puente la Reina ( ancient crossroads ) to Estella, the Road to
Santiago has left the mark of its great historical and artistic importance
in the form of stunning displays of Gothic and Romanesque architecture, as
can be seen at places like the Cloister at the Monastery of Iranzu, in Abárzuza.
The city of Estella-Lizarra was founded in 1090 in order to meet the needs
of the growing number of pilgrims as they made their way from all over
Europe to Santiago. Fine examples of Romanesque art (the Cloister of San
Pedro and the Church of San Miguel), Plateresque art, etc. round off a
city of great cultural interest.
Mid Navarre is home to fine wines and a rich and varied culinary tradition
based on the quality of local produce.
